WICKED!
So Wicked was INCREDIBLE! By far it was the best Broadway I have ever seen. I loved the music before, but in context it was even better. Especially the love song (which I am listening to right now). It was SO romantic on stage. Besides the play being amazing, it was just so awesome being in Seattle, my home city. We spent two days downtown just shopping and chatting, and then the play was the highlight of the trip. Next time I am definitely taking a tour of the Paramount Theater because it is the most beautiful building I have ever been in. We also did Pike Place Market and spent plenty of time in the Cheesecake Factory! Overall, it was one of the best weekends I could ever remember and I was so glad I got to spend so much time with my Mom in my favorite city. It was totally worth the class I sluffed! Here are some pictures of the trip:

Hangin' Out With Whitney!

Yesterday we had such a fun day! Whitney and I went to Hanna Montana and then spent the afternoon chit-chatting. We both LOVE Disney Channel Movies and this one didn't disappoint. The new boy in it was a total cutie too! There's just somethin' about a country boy on a horse....It really made me wish that I was from Tennessee and grew up in a little tight-knit town. Maybe someday. Anyway, we were talking about all the movies we have seen lately and all the ones that are coming out soon and they all seem to be getting sleezier and sleezier! That is why Disney movies are so great, just because they are full of good, clean fun. They are the kind of movies that you come out of the theater feeling happy about.
Anyway, it was SO great to catch up on life and eat in the Cougareat (Thank you SEAN!), which I haven't done since my Dining Plus days two years ago. Plus Whit brought me a darling dress from the D.I. Bin at Regency that I love. Some may say that we are thiefs and moochers, but I think that we are just exceptional bargain finders who take advantage of the opportunities presented to us. I feel like Whit has provided me a new wardrobe these last few months. (So here's a shout out and big fat Thank You to all the girls who have donated clothes to me by way of the D.I bin the last few months!) We had a great time and it was a wonderful feeling to have finals done with and be able to relax in the sunshine. And there is nothing like a good friend =)

Update- sorry I'm lazy much!
So we applied for graduation the other day and it felt so WIERD! It really is kind of surreal knowing that we will be out of here in just a few short months...well maybe. We are still waiting to hear back from Grad schools and it has been quite the experience waiting, hoping, getting depressed, and then waiting again. Needless to say, we have felt a renewed push to be in the temple! General Conference also really reminded us that we need to take advantage of the fact that we live in the shadow of the Prove temple! Anyway, right now we are really just waiting to hear back from Washington State University. I admit that I will be REALLY excited if we get to go there because we will be in weekend distance from my family! However, if we end up somewhere else we know that is what the Lord wants and he's in charge!
Anyway, I will let you all know when we hear something! Bowen is just sure that when we finally found out where we are going for grad school we will find out we are pregnant on the same day because it would just figure! LOL. Make it a great day!

baby names

So here I am at work, realizing that I just hit "post #50" in my journal blog, but not having posted anything here. I suppose I should transplant some of my ideas from my journal to this blog...but anyway I am going to try and do better. I need to get my pictures transferred to a computer that can upload them (My laptop's health has been rapidly declining in the last few months) too so that there are some interesting things here besides my random ramblings!
Today, inspired by Kira's search for baby names, I took the suggestion of her friend and checked out nameberry.com. I love it, but there are also some seriously hilarious suggestions for baby names. I just have to list some of my favorites because I was cracking up. Gotta love working at the MTC!
For example:
(girls)
RUFINA- Does this make anyone else think of "ruffage?" Seriously when I think of this name I either picture garbage, or that big red-head girl who was a bully on my elementary school play ground.
MYSTERY- the very name illudes that you could never fully know her...
PETAL- Can you imagine if you named your other little girl Rose? You could be like "This is my beautiful, vibrant daughter Rose, and this is her sister.....Petal."
BEIGE- hope your baby is cacasian or else this could be interesting.
DORKUS- this may have been cool one hundred years ago...but it is definitely NOT cool anymore.
ANSWER- ....was there question?
HORTENSE- If you break this name into its syllabic componenets you get "whore" and "tense"- ideas you want applied to your little girl? I think not.
(boys)
CASH- Is this really how we want to capture all that is our child? I think these people were on drugs.
KING- really? I think King Fraser would be fun, but honestly humility is a virtue we should emphasize in our homes
OSBERT- This sounds like a Seseme Street name to me. Puppet child? No thank you.
BOGART- I suppose Harry Potter ruined this for me. Imagine a baby that took the form of your worst nightmare everytime you looked at it. AHHHHH
CORNELL- ...someone just couldn't leave college behind
CONGO- This child would be born for guerilla fighting. I can already see the camo wardrobe.
NEVIS- sounds like a car-rental agency
ZOPHAR- only one example of names that were just too wierd
Ok so this was just a random sampling of the hilarity on this website. They had good ideas too of course, so I would still reccomend it. And I'm sorry if any of these names were being considered by anybody. Anyway...check it out!
